Developing Skills, Confidence and Teamwork
Sport at The Old School Henstead is about more than physical fitness – it builds resilience, teamwork, and self-belief.
Each child has timetabled PE and Games sessions that focus on developing physical skills, hand-eye coordination, and self-confidence. Pupils enjoy dedicated sport twice a week, with regular fixtures scheduled against other local schools.
All pupils from Reception – Year 6 participate in weekly swimming lessons, gaining confidence and essential water safety skills.
Competitive Fixtures and School Representation
We also take part in a range of competitive fixtures at both local and regional levels, such as football, hockey, and cross-country, giving children the chance to represent the school and build pride and confidence in their achievements.
