Music is a key part of everyday life at The Old School Henstead. Every class has regular music lessons that combine singing, instrumental work, and creative exploration.
All pupils are part of the school choir, which rehearses regularly and performs at events – including services at St Mary’s Church. The choir has also performed at local festivals and appeared on national television for Children in Need.
In addition, pupils can take individual music lessons in piano, drums, violin, guitar, ukulele, and voice.
These creative subjects sit at the heart of our independent prep school curriculum in Suffolk, forming a vital part of the broad and balanced curriculum that supports every child’s development in confidence, creativity, and character.
