Language learning at The Old School Henstead begins in Year 1, with pupils enjoying weekly French lessons through games, stories, songs, and conversation. This joyful, practical approach helps children build confidence in speaking and listening while deepening their cultural understanding.
In Year 6, pupils are introduced to Latin through our Minimus programme, which supports vocabulary development and strengthens grammatical awareness across all languages.
