About the Role

As we continue to expand we are looking for an exceptional Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for an Upper School pupil.
We are advertising for a unique post which provides learning support and medical care for a girl in Year 6. The child has a breathing condition, which means she requires a ventilator (breathing machine) at times during the day. She therefore requires monitoring of her condition and support using her medical equipment, as well as needing some learning support to allow her to fully access the curriculum.
This post is for 2 days a week (between 8.35am – 4.15pm) and is a job share with another TA who currently works 3 days a week. As this is a job share, the two TAs are expected to cover each other during sickness or absence, as far as possible.
Some experience in medical care would be useful, but for candidates who present the right qualities for the role, all training will be provided. Experience of supporting learning for pupils in key stage two would be preferred.
A period of training and support will be given. The post will begin in September 2026.
Medical care will include using medical equipment, taking observations and record keeping. The successful candidate will work under instruction from the class teacher with regards to the learning aspects of the role. The role will be extremely rewarding for the right candidate.
